If that happens, I don't know whether we should panic or not for Madden 15.

If it's too sim for Joe Casual Gamer, might be bad for us in the next version.

From everything I'm reading and hearing so far in the IGN review and the impressions thread here, I'd pick up M25 for PS4 and probably be pretty happy I did.

I was not expecting a quantum leap based on everything I've seen here for months, but at least they didn't break it like Madden 2006.

Why he is doing reviews now, especially on Madden, I have absolutely no idea.
Maybe certain people at IGN hate him and they want an excuse to fire him so they give him an assignment, reviewing Madden, which they know he will tank, thus giving a reason to fire him..

Yeah, I kind of thought he sounded reasonable until that bit, and then his credibility dropped to zero. Of all the things to complain about re: Madden... too realistic?

I had this game pre-ordered and after the stream I saw I returned it. I purchase consoles for playing sports games (Madden, 2k and Live when it existed) and when I saw what EA pulled this time I was pissed. I may never buy another madden game in my life without waiting on video evidence or playing the demo. Again I buy consoles to play sports games.

NBA 2k14 and MLB the show will be my sports games this year.
So you haven't played the game, or even seen it live, but you state "the game missed in so many ways..." That makes no sense. Get off your high horse. At least play a demo, or watch someone else play it before proclaiming yourself as all knowing.

Have you read any of the other posts? Many people are pleasantly surprised. You realize you might be wrong ?

If you try the game and Hate it... Post away. Until then, your input is not valuable to anyone on this thread.

To be clear, I would state the exact same thing to someone posting how awesome the game is even though they have not played it.

Drop the attitude.

You challenge him to at least watch it before posting? He clearly says he did. You may want to re-read his post.

Secondly, if one would have to play it before giving input, how is his input any less valid than yours or 99% of others around here?

You may want to be careful with "High Horse" accusations in the future....

Wow. That tickled me. "Too realistic." I want to actually try it now, based on his terrible review. On another front, I linked to the "PS4's dying" info. Sounds like they have a launch problem. Seems the launch update is bricking the HDMI jacks. Not cool. The Taco Bell winner, Kotaku and IGN have all had them brick. As a former owner of the RROD 360's, that is cause for major concern. And I was really pondering ponying up for a PS4, too. Especially after watching Jimmy and Ice T kicking the little robots around.

That's because you clearly didn't understand what you read. I would read it again.

What was said (over and over) is that IF Madden does something that is more realistic, they should be praised for it INSTEAD of criticized.

So I am assuming you disagree with that? (which would mean you think they should be criticized IF they happened to get something more realistic) Or is it that you just didn't read what you paraphrased very thoroughly?

Why do you as a "green text member" bring up his post but say nothing when the guy he quoted said basically that he's not buying the "crap" that EA puts out? Isn't that expressly against the rules to say something like that? I thought there was this huge stickied thread about how only constructive criticism was allowed and phrases like "the crap EA produces" was grounds for banishment?

For reference:

But I guess it's okay to say things like that now? Because if so... well... I've got a few choice words to say about the game myself!
