How do you guys call plays

All of my play calls are based of the specific situation I'm in. Down/distance/time/quarter ...all that good stuff. And I always call them from the "Formations" tab ...
I also call all my defensive plays from the "Formations" tab. Mostly because I want to be sure and have the right personnel on the field to combat the offensive personnel.

I scroll through the suggested plays on offense, but call every play defensively. I also took on the schemes of my new head coach when I hired him. Whenever I have to hire another, I'll do the same.

How do you do that ? I know this was possible before but not sure if that is the case no more. I didn't see a gameplan no more.
