Is Ultimate team gaming ruining sports games

Unless there's a lawsuit about children gambling addiction that ruins someone or some family lives horribly, don't expect it to ever leave.

I don't think it's ruining sports games, because other franchises are offering similar game mode variety without losing their ability to create an immersive career/franchise style mode, too. However, I believe EA is wildly unbalanced with their dedication to game modes and I cannot stand the concept of MUT.

People don't realize that the CFM mode not being the same as it was in past games does not mean the same as them not doing anything to do it and not putting resources into it. They just have a different direction for it than you or I personally want. It has absolutely nothing to do with MUT, if you took that away CFM would be the exact same way it is today because that is the direction of CFM that was started a few years ago.

So was baseball cards when I was growing up, pogs for a short amount of time, pokemon cards and hundreds of other collectibles that were aimed at kids. I love the idea of MUT and Draft Champions because I loved building my own team of legends from All Pro Football and seeing what other creations people would come up with. What annoys me about MUT is that they make the games so short so there's no real strategy to it, and you can't design your own uniforms or stadiums.

Franchise mode lacks everything now. Because Ultimate Team is all they care about. If they had all the developers working on a great franchise mode it would be great. It takes room from the game for improvement to the stuff that matters.

No, Ultimate Team is not ruining Madden NFL and sports gaming. If anything it's bringing in new people into the Madden NFL community who enjoy a different take on how to play video game football. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
