I noticed an animation if you run into the back of one of your linemen, every once in awhile your tailback will doing a rolling spin off of your lineman's back to churn for more yards.

Re: Madden 16 Little Things Thread

My first game on 16, Chiefs vs. Cardinals. Palmer threw a deep pass to Fitz who was covered by a trailing Gaines. Fitz used the obvious "aggressive catch", jumping up as he turned around to get the ball at its highest point. Gaines played the ball, jumping up with both hands in the air. Gaines missed the play on the ball, but was close enough to give Fitz a mid air shove to ensure he wasn't moving when his feet hit the ground. Fitz landed on his behind with Gaines stumble stepping over him.

From this point on, I knew this year's madden was going to be one of the best.

I totally agree with this. Hail Mary's look so realistic. Five or six dudes going up for the ball all at once, it looks amazing. This is the first time since 2001 that we've had a huge jump up in the way the game moves. Physics and momentum look truly "next gen" for the first time.

I know the OL/DL needs some work. But there's some really exciting stuff going on there too. Pulling guards that actually trap and free opposite side guards to block at the second level. Double team blocks and combination blocks where linemen chip on a double team, then move to the second level. That stuff is damned impressive.

Re: Madden 16 Little Things Thread

WRs have more awareness while attempting to make a catch on the sideline. They are actually trying to get both feet in. One other small thing, in the past you might hit someone with a pass on the flats or near the sideline and the animation would just drag you out of bounds with you having no control whatsoever. Im not seeing that anymore. Im able to cut up field.

Re: Madden 16 Little Things Thread

I was going to say a lot of the things already mentioned in this thread.

I have one cool thing I noticed the other day that I didn't see here though. Had a 4 point lead with a second left, other team threw a hail marry of course. Ball got tipped and picked off. I started running it back as I had a lot of space, but as I got close to the Oline I realized I was putting myself at risk. I got off of the sprint button and tried to dive forward early enough for the lineman to just touch me down on the ground.

Instead of diving forward, my Cornerback actually did a slide like a QB would do. I don't believe thats been in the game in the past, though I could be wrong. Something small, but made that last play look really realistic IMO.
