Re: Madden 17 wishlist

This has to be the year we get new player gear like gloves, sleeves, cleats... Everything! I think gameplay is moving in the right direction but if we dont get at least one armed sleeves then I may seriously not purchase this year.. The player gear from 2004 bothers me that much.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Sick of this awful gear. FIFA adds new cleats throughout the season that release in real life at that time. If FIFA can do that then Madden should at least have semi relevant gloves cleats etc.

The fact that Nike has a contract with the NFL and almost all the equipment is still reebok stuff from 2007 is completely ridiculous.

Agreed. I dont understand how a game of this magnitude has something so outdated and people are okay with it?!

It is rather odd how the uniforms are at least for the most part authentic, but the accessories are so outdated, obviously they must be two different license agreements.

Re: Madden 17 wishlist

I would be satisfied with Madden 17 if CFM and Audio & Presentation sees a big improvement with some game play tweaks. Overall I liked Madden 16 from a game play perspective, best in years IMO.

Gameplay & Animations:
-I would like to see some pre-snap movement on defense and disguises.
-Tone down the spectacular catches. Would want to see some more physical strong catches.
-Madden 16 had the ability for users to get good pass rush. I would want to see more ability to collapse the pocket and more effect in run stuffing.
-My main thing is for players to stand out and differentiate from one another. I don't think ratings and a few traits are enough to make star players stand out. Because as long as you are good with the sticks you can make an average player out perform others. I say either expand traits out to cover a lot more aspects of game or do tendencies instead which is about the same.
-I would like to see some A.I Adjustments. Like if I am having success running to the right, I would like to see CPU shade over to the right on early downs. Or if my best WR is torching defense, I would like to see double teams. Or even if my LE is getting a lot of pressure on QB, I would like to see double team blocking on him.
-Audio Related, but I want to hear more chatter from players and pre snap actions. Like I want to see QBs being more vocal about setting up protections, calling out mismatches, recognizing the defensive front.

CFM and Presentation
I think those two come together with my main problems with CFM. I like the gameplay, but I don't feel like I'm playing a franchise mode, just exhibition games.
-Formation Subs. That way I don't have to keep going to depth chart to get certain players involved and in good mismatches. Or if I have a defender who I can use in a hybrid role.
-Matchups. I would like to have the ability to set up how I want to play opponents. Like if I want to double team the teams best WR or Defense lineman. Or if I want my best CB to follow the WR.
-I want to hear about what is going on in the season. A in-game ticker. It doesn't have to be clips, just the commentator talking about score and what player is performing well. Want to hear how this game affects the division and playoff standings. I want to hear about team stats. The commentators only talks about how the QB/RB/WR/TE is performing that's it. I want to hear if they are a top 5-top 10 pass defending team.

Great list.

A.I. adjustments, defensive disguises, and formation subs are desperately, desperately needed. Since the CPU teams won't utilized it, they need to allow Users to modify CPU depth charts and formation subs, even with 32 team control so that we can face the an optimal opponent team every game out.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I think one way they could implement those aspects is going in depth with coaching. Where adding Offensive and Defensive coordinators and along with Head coaches having an affect on games. Like having coaching tendencies. Basically where they can still use the Coach Suggestion aspect of playcalling, but tie those plays into the coach tendencies.
Offensive and Defensive Coordinators can add a slight rating boosts in CFM.
