NBA 2K is constantly adding and cleaning up contextual animations and making them smooth and believable, hell even "The Show" does this to a lessor extent. I don't care about Frostbite one iota doesn't mean anything to me when it comes to sports, because all I have seen it do great is explosions, that's probably great for the jumbo tron.

I'll be happy when I read EA Sports just hired x animator from naughty dog or nba 2k then I will take notice.

My AGENDA is "Animations, believable immersive contextual animations".
Just think about how awesome the super bowl fireworks will look tho

If it makes for a better looking, more authentic, better animating, smarter Madden, then I'm all for it. If not, it is what it is. I'd just like to know what frostbite can do for a sports game.

One thing I can say, since PES has implemented the "Fox" engine, it has started to really turn a corner....

It's the engine that was used for Metal Gear, which is now in Pro Evolution Soccer. Took the graphics, animations and interactions to another level....

Ian was right, I loved everything he did and said because it was always 110% accurate. The current engine is a modern marvel of technology, so marveling that even Tiburon themselves don't see a need to change to a new engine. It's not 2 generations out of date.

ANT is incredible animation middleware that was so ahead of its time when it was built at the end of Gen 5 that it'll be ahead of its time in Gen 10. The animators have done an incredible job giving us the best animations in the industry that have set the standard for award-winning realism in gaming that all sports games are measured by, and they should absolutely develop the new animations.

Every area of this game runs well, from AI, to animations, to commentary, to online play, this game runs with top-level efficiency and accuracy. Madden's current development is a monster of technological greatness. Anyone who says otherwise on any of those points is a terrible human being who deserves to be threatened and banished because an opposite strong opinion that centers on specific parts of the development is totally out of line.

My bad for not seeing it that way before. I totally apologize.

I don't believe ANT is the problem, as it is still used in the frostbite engine. I believe it's more how animations are captured and implemented into Madden.

I'm going by what Ian used to say about it which wasn't 100% positive. But the way I see it, different teams are going to be able to use things in ways that others can't for a variety reasons. Who knows, maybe ANT itself simply doesn't work as well with Madden's setup as it does with Frostbite but with them going to Frostbite that could change? Too many variables to know for sure really.

I guess that's a problem?
