This is how I plan on using this mode. And I believe that Madden 19 will continue the story into the NFL.

Would have been cool if you could at least name the character and choose the players position as well...

How can you say the story is boring when you know nothing of it??

Look I'd be fine if you left it at saying this mode doesn't appeal to you, but what you are doing is criticizing it for things it doesn't even claim to be.

It is not a career mode, not a create your own player mode; EA wants to tell a story and take us along for the ride.

I may jump into a bit, because one of the things they said is that it will have some good "football lessons" in the mode. I think Mike Young described it as a bit like Gruden Camp. They are also going to have position drills and the like. That kind of stuff has my interest.

As for continuing the story, that is my impression as well. This will be the first part of a series of sorts.

Episodes would be neat if they continue it. EA is know to give things up as well.

You can pick any position you like as long as it's quarterback.

For real the only way this appeals to me is if there is a lot of divergence in how you can go with it. If it's totally on rails and you're just playing through some game scenerios I couldn't care less. If I can make choices that actually change the outcome I might have a few beers and go through it a couple times.

They have said it has multiple outcomes.
I don't know, or can't recall, whether the outcomes are dictated by performance on the field or your choices however.

The main focus that they need to add is carry over saves for CFM. Listen

*It’s easy to point and say, “How dumb could theybe to add such a useless feature and waste so much time and resources? I’ll
never play it", or whatever the case may be. But let’s say it with some constructive criticism, actual thought and reasoning.*

The time is now to speak up and demand that thissimple yet powerful and immersive feature should be included across all sports
games.(Carry over franchise saves year to year) When we think of sports, we think of dynasty’s and how they were built
and how they crumbled right before our eyes decades later. That should be the
main focus of all sports games, not focused on just one individual player and
their personal story into the league. There are a limitless number of stories
of how players made it to their respected leagues, and one story per year that
is scripted that EA picks based on who knows what, should not be the focus
right now. Now is not the time to be adding new modes when all of the current
ones are either broke, not functional, incomplete, or better yet when the core
of a sports franchise isn’t there at all.* **

Let us carry over CFM year to year with eachrelease. We lose interest in rewriting our history year after year, look at Tom
Brady and his real situation with the Patriots. Should they resign the QB in
waiting or trade him? That’s a real situation that will have a domino effect in
NFL history and our Madden history but can never be truly implemented in Madden. But in actuality it can, if and only if, we do it in Madden 17 and still play 17 even though the
new 18 is out (about to be out). That story will only live on in our Madden 17
CFM universe. It feels like “Connected Franchise” isn’t really connected, that
was a glaring missed opportunity to market CFM in that way, connect last years
franchise to this year. Now that would be Madden like we never seen it before.*

Give us single player story modes after carry over year to year saves are included, just in case we may not be interested in that story mode.*

Any cosigners?

Focus on year to year saves in CFM.*

Single player story modes should be third behind gameplay, and year to year saves. What ever happened to a true sports dynasty where we could watch our dynasties rise and fall through out our Madden universe. *Connected Franchise isn't really connected, that was a glaring missed opportunity to market CFM that way. Connect last years franchise to this year now that would be, Madden like we never seen before.

Bring year to year saves to CFM
