The CPU is calling pass commit with your run heavy offense, that is why it happens.

whats so bleeping frustrating about that pancake glitch is that the gameplay styles settings were supposed to help mitigate the disasters to the user vs cpu gameplay when EA goes off and tries to band aid fix things for the online crowd.

As for this patch...it better not break something else

Another workaround, yeah the dreaded workarounds, but if you see daylight with all D on the ground, hit the deck and fall down if and when it happens.

It doesn't happen when you call your own plays.

I get what causes the issue, but I still wonder if they decreased the penalty for pass committing, or if they tuned CPU ai so they won’t pass commit in dumb situations. Otherwise, I’m more or less guaranteed to break off multiple long runs a game with 4-5 CPU defenders getting pancaked on the play...

I am confused because I do call of my own plays on offense and defense, and I see the CPU line collapse 1 or 2 times per game on a run play. I can't bring myself to just house it so I just go to the ground after 5 yards or so. It's frustrating and I shouldn't have to do that.

Yeah, I don't like band aid fixes either, but if and when that happens to me, I go straight to the ground.
