Re: Our Reactions to the Initial Madden NFL 19 Info

EA completely revamped zones in 17, and they added thresholds this year (ZCV being the biggest, but a 90+ BSH or PMV DL can also be a game changer in regs/franchise). They've done quite a bit for defense in just the past couple of years. M18 is the only version of the game I've ever played where you can have a competitive D without great stick.

Going forward I'd really like to see them shore up outside third zones, as they are a bit too easy to preoccupy at this time. A four yard out route shouldn't distract a good zone coverage CB to the point that they let someone else run right past them.

Also, if soft squats are the only zone that is going to be able to play the shallower C-routes they ought to at least play a few other routes. The OP C-routes are one of my few big gripes about this year's game.

Real Player Motion is in FIFA 18 and UFC

RPM and Signature Styles, featured in this video, are both going to be in Madden 19.

I know, I was questioning a few of the reviewers.

So at this point are we sure that the "Custom" draft classes are actually custom? For instance, will we be able to create Ed Oliver DT Houston?

The way its worded, "Custom Draft Class Creator where fans can create their own draft classes featuring players from the past and present for use in Franchise" makes it seem like they could have possibly created a data base of players that we are able to mix and match or add in to classes.....

Guess we wait and see, but I am not convinced...

I share your sense foreboding.... but am hoping the wording is essentially a disclaimer to offset any suggestion of legal issues

LOL yea I am hoping for this too we already know its a slippery slope with EA and anything college related. If they had said anything about "creating young college prospects" no telling what kind of negative feedback they would have received.

It could be a marketing ploy with a deeper understanding "under the table". They'll play it up for people who want to make their own prototypes or wonder what it would be like if T.O. entered the league next year while fully knowing people want to make Nick Bosa, etc.

The less the outsiders know the better in this case.
