He's being sarcastic, but there are a very small minority of people who do actually let the cover person deter them from purchasing a game.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Let me tell ya though, I could see it.....

When NCAA 14 dropped with Denard Robinson on the cover, I died a little bit inside....now I have to look at that disgusting ****igan uniform every time I start the game.

Never once. And I've been buying the game since Madden himself was on the cover every year.

Oh my.

My son is only 13 and he has seen nothing but Tannehill’s era (he started watching football at 8 years old).

Yeah. I was able to see a lot of greatness including two Super Bowl appearances. But I got to tell you, after Marino’s record setting 1984 we all thought we would get back at least 3,4 maybe 5 more times.

It never happened.

So all you New England peeps? Count your blessings because after Tommy hangs up the cleats.....get ready to come back to earth again.

Sheesh, I remember beating the crap out of the Patriots two times a year for 10 years.

Oh the good times.....

Between September of 1989 (when I was 11), and September of 1996 (when I was 18), the Fins went 13-2 vs New England. That matches up exactly with my time when I started being a diehard fan, and set my expectations for what the Patriots were, so I can't wait for the good times to come back.

My Cubs eventually broke through, and are now in the midst of the best period in franchise history. It'll happen for the Fins too.

I'm sure for some it matters. Me however, it doesn't decide if I'm buying it or not. If that were the case, I wouldn't have bought the Ray Lewis, Peyton Hillis, Gronk, or Brady versions for example.

It altered my choice this year however. I had the Special Edition paid off just to get it three days early. If Antonio Brown is ever confirmed to be the standard edition's athlete, I'll gladly be taking my $20 extra back and waiting the three days out lol.
