Was it re-added for M18? I fired the game up for the first time in a couple months recently and have seen multiple defensive holding calls. That blew my mind... using Flazko's penalty sliders.

That's why I did a double take. Played an entire 7 season 32 man CFM and never saw it once. Was called 2x across several games last week.

I also noticed Quick Scouting was in M18 which was a UI quality of life improvement for M19. Maybe that was patched in earlier and I never noticed.

I was pretty sure the competitive crowd asked to reduce it because it was taking away from their passing game.

The only time I ever see defensive holding called in Madden 18 is on a turnover when the offense all of a sudden becomes the defense.

That's it.

Madden 16 is the best version for penalties and progressive fatigue. It does tick me off on 17 and 18 they neutered those two features to please the competitive players.

Really annoying. Fatigue is a joke now. It does not progress. It resets every single drive. Totally unrealistic and far from simulation.

I agree I still think madden 16 had the most realistic coverage and penalty system of all of the current gen maddens..The PI and DH penalties were great and you were punished when you either tried pressing with a weak cb or your secondary commited alot of PI penalties when they got tired from long drives..this is still a mystery why they took it out or didnt add it to sim mode..you have some great points with your post my man..
