I usually do offline CFM, but I've heard if I do "cloud CFM" that patches and updates are applied to my franchise, whereas if I do offline they do not. Is this fact, fiction, partly both?

Just wondering if there is a reason to do cloud, and if there's drawbacks compared to just offline.

That was how it was in the past but I don't know for 19 for sure. Can someone confirm this?

i have a question regarding player likeness updates... if i start the cfm with the week one offical roster will further updates of player facescans apply to this existing cfm?

Can’t confirm for certain but I think the difference is that online CFM can get certain fixes and changes faster then offline, with offline you always have to wait for the patch.

Online also has faster simming, the ability to stop where you are playing and continue the game later but unlike offline you can’t keep multiple saves in case for some reason you need to go back.

You also can’t do 32 team control with a cloud franchise, that can only be done in Offline CFM.

Thanks gents. I'll just do a cloud one (assuming that's what you mean by "online" for those of us who play against CPU). It seems overall its a good choice.

I've been meaning to ask this for a few years but I always forget.

Is there a way to force an OT/TE double team on an edge rusher? Most times when I try to help an OT with a TE instead of doubling the TE will take the edge rusher solo and the OT will look for someone else to block, thus making the problem worse as my TE is a worse individual blocker than my OT.

Correct. Don't have to restart offline, just got to wait for patch instead of an instant tuner like online.

I went offline as I want complete control and multiple saves in case something weird happens. And I can help the CPU it they do something ignorant.
