This is flawed when it comes to WR though. You aren't going to build a team full of one type WR.

It is indeed, and has really stifled my team. What sucks is that if you do go another route, they wont progress as fast.

When scouting I scout all three traits limiting the amount of points I can spend. Even the most inexperienced scouts can figure out a player's top 3 traits.This year I have a new rule of not spending as many points per week to add more difficulty. Also I try to limit picks to 7 in the draft. More than that just makes it too easy.

1. I play full game except preseason.
2. Any trade I offer has to be 76 ovr as minimum (my player I offer to cpu)
3. I offer trades to cpu based only on their needs listed
4. I only go after trades with cpu if they have player on trade block
5. No restarts
6. All madden default sliders
7. Thursday and Monday games use color rush unis (cpu and me)
8. Suberbowl appearance goal every year.....all firing on (I play as coach)
9. Since coin toss choices are skewed.....I do my own on iPad....if I win I do my settings if I lose I choose opposite of what I have set.

Playing as an owner. Simming actual games.

Resign
In season, I can only resign 1st string if they are top 25% (up to 2 per season).
Must offer these players FV + Top%/2. If within top 10%, top%·2. Bonus: Top%/2 + 30%.
Sign top 30% if a) <4 yrs or b) 10< yrs. ( up to 2 per season)
Must offer: a) FV + 5%, bonus 25%; or b) FV, bonus 45%.

These parameters keep at least slightly in line with what FA may dictate, or give a hometown discount for for vets.

Draft/UFA
Only draft for starters.
Can select 1 round before projected round.
No more than 10 picks per draft.

UFA for depth, unless draft is thin at a Top 5 position.
Only 1 90+ OVR/year.
UFAs signed for true league averages.
*debating only signing scheme fit UFAs.

Progression
All points allocated before UFA.
*with the new system I haven't yet figured any rules to play with.

Trades
80+ player for players/pick(s)
<79 player for pick

No more than 2 trades per season. Unlimited during draft.

Adjustments
Typical adjustments. If needed i can write it out.
