Please tell me which of these songs is pop or rock.

Some example of some of the most popular pop music/artists (not that Madden would use these big names, just for comparison sake):

Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran.

Some examples of the most popular modern rock music/artists (same disclaimer):

The Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, The Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys,Imagine Dragons (more pop-rock, but still).

There isn’t a single song from Madden 19 that is even close to a true pop or (especially) a true rock song. To call it a ‘mix’ is laughable. You’d need at least 5-10 non-rap/hip-hop songs to call it a mix, but there isn’t a single one.

Oh trust me, I agree. I’d even prefer Nickelback to Imagine Dragons. But they are popular and are...sortof...a rock band. Even their sad excuse for rock music is far far closer to rock music than anything that was on Madden 19.

Re: Back to the days of no soundtrack?

If I made the soundtrack I'd pick bands like:

AC/DC, Journey, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Tesla, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Ratt, Iron Maiden, etc

I know these are older bands but they are still very popular bands based upon when you go out to bars, the tickets they sell nationally and on the radio.

I think if you want to hit the largest amount of audience that you can with music they will like these are the types of bands that would do that.

But then I'm just a crotchety old man so what do I know??

I hope you don't watch college football and ESPN. During that time of year I don't think EA realizes other bands exist.

I really like this idea. Never even thought of that.
