I've been playing on All Pro, Sim, 8 minute quarters. Pretty sure I was sacked once in preseason (with the starters, I simmed when the backups were in and didn't pay attention to sack numbers), then twice in week 1 vs Jacksonville. And I don't consider myself very good at Madden at all. You don't get all day to throw but it's not that bad at all.

I mean, you realize you're playing the Pro Bowl right? Those elite pass rushers are also going against an elite O-line. Actually play a regular season game and see how it goes. Silly topic.

Is it really the pass rush or just the fact that we actually have QB release animations that don’t just fling the ball out the instant you input your pass? That actually seemed to be the only thing causing my sacks, which is fine, when I’d adjust my timing it worked out.

Don't know, the game I just played, Myles Garrett just destroyed Demar Dotson for the Buccs. I got sacked 4 times and had about 2-3 second search time. I think the pass rush is the best thing about 20 thus far.....for me anyway

Hence my point of giving it more time. You can't judge anything off a pro bowl game with elite players all over. Grind it out in franchise mode like most of us did in the beta.

Played a possession on All-Pro. Zero sacks.

Played two possessions on All-Madden. Three sacks and a knockdown.

I guess ratings don’t matter. Only difficulty?

Yes roadman. I think knee jerk reactions should be kept to a minimum since we have all only had the game for a day. I was just more trying to provide feedback from what I am seeing. Yes I am rusty as well so maybe once I catch up to the mechanics things will even out. I will say this game plays better than any madden I have seen for a long time

Re: The pass rush really isn't that serious

I've got a very limited sample size of only 4-5 games, but the pass rush does feel nerfed. Run blocking is also tweaked from the beta from what I can tell. I think all of this should go into the impressions thread, though.
