If he has Dashing Deadeye in your game, you either edited him - which is entirely your fault - or you're playing franchise and he developed that ability, breaking your Lamar Jackson off from the one who currently exists in reality. In the latter case, you've returned this to the category of user error because you didn't pay attention to your opponent's team.

Once you start franchise mode, you divorce yourself from reality at whatever your start point is and your league is yours from there forward.

I simmed the first year so i could coach my first offseason so i guess he picked it up. Regardless, i don't like anyone ever having perfect accuracy especially someone known for not having great accuracy. It doesn't make football sense that a qb becomes more accurate outside the pocket than in. There are some outlying crazy **** in football like Ben being more accurate when throwing after he takes a hit but not even that is perfect. I don't claim to play a perfect sim style but some of these traits make the game arcade football. Some, make sense, some don't. I wish we could choose which one's were active in our franchise. Hoping lamar jackson takes off instead of throwing the ball so i don't get burned as bad defies my imagination.

I played Lamar in year 2 and he was throwing quick to his TE and was more dangerous passing than Russell Wilson. I don't remember if he had gained any passing skills but he more more dangerous when he started running in the second half. He also lost a critical fumble since he kept trying to avoid tackles.

So far, the cornerback skills have seemed to have very little effect on gameplay.

You knew going into the game that he was capable of this and you made no attempt to counter it. That's user error, and I see no reason to fault the game in this case.
What has Jackson done in the league to be rewarded with perfect accuracy on the run. The knock on him in general is a lack of accuracy. His trait should be his ability to escape the pocket and buy time or run. Maybe an interesting ability would be to highlight the 1st open player only if 5 seconds from the snap has passed and he has scrambled out of the pocket. His accuracy would be unchanged.

Nothing, which is why he doesn't have that ability on the base roster. I noted this in a follow-up post just above.

Ok. I jumped the gun on that one. Did not see your response before i reacted.

I still like my trait idea though. Certainly better than magically getting really fast and outrunning everyone to escape the pocket.

But what they currently have better portrays how Elite Scramblers act.

With guys like Michael Vick & Russell Wilson, you'd see a play where the pocket just goes to **** immediately. These guys would magically turn what looked like a sure Sack into a running play that actually gets them yardage.

Their ability to "turn on the jets" and elude guys in their face - keeping plays alive - is what they are trying to emulate. Perhaps it can be tuned, but it's a good direction they are going in IMO.

Charging abilities in game is terrible.

Abilities themselves are a great step in the right direction toward representing differentiation that will never exist with just ratings.

Enforcer is a nice idea but Harrison Smith absolutely destroyed me by himself. He forced 3 Fumbles and had two picks. I guess I should go away from him lol.
