I don't think there is a Franchise team...one guy does the ratings & equipment. Couldn't tell yeah what the rest work on. Seems like everyone is on the competitive mode team.

They definitely have separate teams. The MUT team was/is responsible for the Superstar KO mode. There's the gameplay team. There's a franchise team and they're likely scrambling to get the new X-factors function in franchise mode without something breaking.

Is there any evidence that EA even still has exclusive rights? I remember reading a couple years ago that the exclusive contract was coming to an end, but the cost of developing an NFL game to compete with Madden from scratch wasn't worth the financial risk for other companies.

Depends on what you read and who you believe. I would imagine that developing an NFL video game from scratch would indeed be a king's ransom. Too bad since competition would benefit us all. I've just come to accept the game for what it is and unfortunately isn't......

I didn't buy Madden. It actually came free with some Origin Premier.

I see Shiz liked your comment. I'm not surprised. Sounds like you subscribe to the "if you purchase Madden you aren't allowed to criticize and if you criticize then you shouldn't have purchased it".
