“Stat-based” moment is going to end up be the gimmicky name for attribute based movement.

Going to put a premium on Acceleration and Agility ratings over speed. Christian McCaffery will feel different than Derrick Henry.

Attributes like juke, spin, and truck are going to have animation tiers. So 60-70 rated have “weaker” animations than 80-90.

I will say this, The RG3 or the 06 madden trailer wasn’t not done in game engine, it was merely a cinematic vision. At least they say this is running in the game engine. Now I don’t believe it will look that good but there’s at least hope this time around*

Since they’re sticking with frostbite, and not biting off more than they cwn chew with a new engine, maybe this time will be different.

I'd gladly come back if they'd earn my business, but they do nothing of the sort. As soon as they can give me at least everything I had 3 consoles ago, then I'd consider it, but they can't even do that right. This will probably be no different. A bunch of fantastic marketing spins and then tell us that they "overshot". Just like Clint said about Living Worlds and the 50 calculations per second bull****.

Anyone who believes any of this crap without actually seeing it or playing it is a salesman's dream client.

Dude, you stopped playing madden 2000 to 2010! You literally missed the entire golden era of madden!

Everything they describe on that site sounds promising. Hopefully the info on the next gen version is plentiful since they are giving free upgrades anyway.

Rating thresholds unlocking better animations has been in the game since M18.

Re: Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 Next-Gen Trailer

The entire time I was watching this my only thought was this - EA wants us to buy current gen sports games, they're not going to show anything now that might tempt us to sit out those releases and wait on next gen. They'll get us hyped about next gen when the current gen games and majority of sales are in the bag.

Because honestly I didn't see much there to get me excited.
