back to the actual article lol.

Great write up. Pretty much mirrors my feelings.*

ive been harping on the coverage last year and this year and I rarely see it pointed out but its so true that the CPU manages to play pretty good in the secondary which makes it even more frustrating to know that it is possible and its obviously some weird development decision. Glad you touched on that*

I am having a lot of fun with 22 but I do have to be honest that it seems like forever that every year its being said that its finally taking a step in the right direction. Id really like to see Madden get past that and really hit its stride but it has been so long that its hard to see it ever happening.

Re: Madden 22 Review (PS5) - Beautiful Chaos

I don't post a lot, but I've been coming here for a long long time and I don't think I'd go that far. Chase is just pointing out scores have not been done in quite some time on any games.

That said, I agree that scores are overrated and people tend to dwell on those too much. I much prefer a review like this breaking down pro & cons. Especially in sports games. Probably easier to assign a score to a game like Vahalla or Resident Evil, but I want more than that in MLB, Madden, NBA, etc.

I think to just give a sport game a 6, 7, 8 etc makes people miss the overall review itself. Bottom line though, we are all our own reviewer, but it's nice to have some idea of what you're getting into before buying it. Especially at $70 or more.

I overall have to say I'm on the same page with this one. Hopefully EA gets some decent patches out as I feel like it definitely has potential.

Fair enough and I actually agree scores aren’t needed. It was more his tone. But I will drop it. Sorry gents, back to comments about the game.

Ben, it came off as snippy because it was meant to. I am generally open to letting people fly their opinion flags on games, but again, it's been policy for years and years so it was just patently silly to come in and ask where a score is on a site that doesn't -- and hasn't done them -- for better part of a decade haha.

I'm not trying to make anyone leave. If they want to call it an impression piece then they can do that, but we're going to keep calling these things reviews.

Nah, man. I'm never trying to ban people.

The "reminder" of the site existing because of members just reeked of "don't forget who pays your salary..." type bs.

"AI that is smarter and more intuitive when it comes to decision making on the field."

Um, gotta call this one out. EA desperately needs a patch/update to fix AI logic when it comes to kicking/punting. Having teams consistently go for 60-yard field goals as opposed to pinning their opponent deep with a punt is ridiculous.

Shniz first I must admit I didn’t know you were admin(I’m not sure if the exact term). I don’t post often but I am on this site all the time and have been for a long time and I love it. I didn’t mean what I said as a threat towards whoever works for the site I was just trying to point out Mayne he coulda said it differently or in a nicer way. Maybe *Chase has history with that poster that I’m not aware of or maybe it was just a sore subject that has been talked about before that I’m not aware of. *Honestly at this point I have made too many posts that have taken away from comments about the review itself(which was a good one) and I’m going to back away and let the productive chatter commence. No hard feelings on my side and I hope it’s the same over there.
