Fix the scouting system...

I like the direction its going in, but you dont know enough information about players going into the draft. Thats what kinda turned me off about the update in general.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldnt a scout be able to scout for the entire o-line and not just a single position like tackle, guard or center? What about the defensive line? Secondary? Thats another gripe.

I turn your attention to the NHL series and its scouting system. Scouts are broken down in terms of overall, and quality that they would give you based on the region. They could break down the regions of the US even more, and allow you to have more than one scout, scouting regions to unlock more about the player(s) you are targeting. I get they wanted certain regions to have an abundance of certain position players, and skimp on others to create a challenge, but i refer back to not knowing enough info.

I think they need to do away with singular position specific scouting, and refer to either defense, offense and special teams. For example you go to the midwest and you see more quality defensive players that you want to scout. You can assign a defensive minded scout and choose the specific players you want to see info on based on multiple positions.

I see some GREAT suggestions in this thread. Some of the simple things I’d love to see is a trophy room like NCAA 14 had….

Where you could see your Lombardi Trophies and AFC/ NFC championship trophies. Also individual player awards trophies. This can’t be too hard to add in for EA. The SB trophy model is already in the game.

Add early 2000's Madden music so we can turn the volume back up too. That would be great.

It's always a good thing to put these yearly wishlist into pen and paper for community support, but over the past several years, I don't really feel they are given serious considerations.

I do recall back in the day when the developers were more prevalent, (Madden 11 or 12) Ian Cummings coming in here and mentioning that 90% of OS wish list was implemented into the game.

Including DJ's towels. lol This was back during the Community Days.

And here we are, a decade later or more.

There’s a Madden 12 promo video showing a list of everything they added in that the community asked for on YouTube. They actually listened somewhat….

Funny thing is the very next year in 13 they stripped most of it back out.

To rephrase what you wrote without negative color - the offline Franchise mode from Madden 12 and years prior was replaced with the fully online-enabled Connected Careers (now known as Cloud Franchise). Previous Madden franchise modes offered either zero or extremely limited and wonky online franchise functionality, whereas Connected Careers was built to be online-enabled from the word "go".

Despite its functionality limitations with respect to roster management, playing a fully-realized fully-functional online franchise in Madden NFL 13 with friends and rivals from this very forum remains to this day one of the absolute best experiences I have ever enjoyed playing Madden. The thing that keeps me coming back to Madden every year more than anything else at this point is the ability to play multiple NFL seasons with my friends all across the country.

It is unfortunate that so many old features were discarded to make way for the new mode, but EA absolutely made the correct decision pursuing the fully online-enabled mode. I would have left Madden long ago if Connected Careers never happened.

A detail that I’d love to see fixed, the colors in madden are bland. During the SB, the Rams yellow and blue popped off the screen as did the Bengals Orange….. if you do that game in madden 22, the yellow is washed out and nothing is bright and vivid. Not sure if it’s an issue with lighting in the game or what but graphics would look way better if it was fixed.

I recommend doing a comparison yourself for anyone who doesn’t believe me.
