Ok, after playing several games (i know ...lol sorry no stats) what I am seeing is the comp big plays. The last game I played last night was Pitt(me) vs Kc in my franchise. I was dominating through the whole game except for the run,Johnson ended up with 184 yards (can't remember the carries but it wasn't many).
The problem was he was breaking tackles that no way in the world he should have,Porter,Foote,and Haggans.

I was leading 35-10 going into the fourth,then all of a sudden I couldn't stop them for nothing,this is where Johnson had his big runs,breaking the tackles (sometimes 5!) When the smoke cleared I held on to win 35-32.
What I'm going to do later is up my tackle slider by 5 and check it. I'm sorry but I can't imagine a back running up the middle like nobody is there.

Overall.....these sliders are an EXCELLENT base to start from.

For those of you struggling defensively, RTWilliams says that he has done tests with increasing awareness to 35 for both CPU and User.

I trust his judgment and recommend you try this before tinkering with any of the other sliders.

I'll figure that in as well as upping the tackle slider.
I am not so sure this is something that can be controlled though. I do know how to call a strong defensive game (as shown by my 35-10 lead into the 4th).
I did take into account the deficit,and adjusted accordingly. I just could not believe that my defense could "fall asleep" and allow 22 points in a 9min quarter.
I mean after all...this is not the Card's defense (sorry Cardinal fans) I could understand if I was giving up big plays earlier,but that was not the case at all.
Again....these are a great base to start from,and with a few minor tweaks will be awesome

ok, for the franchise..do yall have any set of rules..??? do you control all teams..??? do you mess with the rb carries slider's in the coachin/scheme section of the franchise..??? to get all rb backs in the league..startes and bench to get accurate carries..???

or anything else that shoudl be tweaked..im trynna have the best possible nfl stat wise franchise there is..


edit - i think the rb carries might be good...

but how da hell does my back get auto subbed out..??? i've kept playin the giants in the franchise...i keep starting over, and wow, they play the 2nd string back, the giant dude, i forgot his name ...but they play him like they do him real life, they use him alot in the red zone, and he just plows thru the line...incredible...but by back, i have addai startin (colts) doesnt get subbed out..

Alright I keep seeing something so let me squash a myth.

The Coaching Scheme menu (the one where you select aggressive/conservative, RB1 v. RB2, etc) has absolutely no effect whatsover on the games you play..in any way shape or form.

Coaching Scheme tells the computer how you want your team handled when you are not actively controlling it (such as in a simmed game or when signing picks and the like if you choose not to).

Well fellas...I'm now on a slider making hiatus. I am not sure why everyone is having problems playing defense. If anything, I am starting to find playing defense a little too easy. And no I am not trying to boast. But the stats I am posting are real and I just don't see all of this awful db ai everyone keeps talking about.

I will keep posting my game stats but do with the sliders as you please. Once there are ten game stats posted, I will review them. Until then, they are all yours.
