Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

I started a second game of my franchise, but had to quit because I had to go to work. I am very happy with these sliders. The defense is so much better! I hated playing those 54-48 games because offense was so easy thanks!

Has anybody had problems with kicking power though? I think it is because the 49ers kicker with the updated rosters is pretty subpar, but I figured I would ask if anybody else had problems. I've just come up short with 100% on high 40 yard kicks, but it could be because of the quality of the kicker. I don't expect to hit every one, but I am probably 1/4 on kicks 47-51 yards.

I suppose I could just up the power, but if its working for other people I'll keep it and assume I need to find a better kicker at some point in the franchise lol.

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

are these sliders good for allowing more solo or one on one tackles happening im doing a sim chise and i want to get stats as sim as possble but i cant since every second tackle is a gang tackle and since there isnt a total tack stat it really hard for it to stay sim. so my questions are will there sliders help in reduce gang tackling and if i bump tack to 100 for cpu and player will this help with getting more solo tacks??

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

Well I had to restart my 49ers franchise because I forgot to save. This is the 3rd game with these sliders I've played and well.. things just got a bit out of hand. A lot had to do with the computers play calling and decisions though. It was kind of a weird game. Anyway here are the stats..

SF (me): 38
Seattle (cpu): 14

QB's:
Hasselbeck 17 for 31, 199 yards, 0TD 1INT
Alex Smith 13 for 24, 251 yards, 4TD 1INT

RB's:
Frank Gore 29 attempts for 194 yards (6.6 ypc), 1TD, 1 fumble
Westbrook 3 attempts for 6 yards, 1 fumble

Marshawn Lynch - 17 attempts for 37 yards (2.7ypc), 1TD
Forsett - 3 attempts for 12 yards

DEFENSE (where things got a little weird)

SF: 7 sacks, 1 int
Seattle: 2 sacks, 1 int

A lot of those sacks were at the end of the game though when hasselbeck decided he should finally start throwing passes deeper than 5 yards. Then he would stand in the pocket for 4-5 seconds and get sacked..

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

Game two of my 49ers franchise. I'm thinking the clock run off/quarter length might be a little off. Could just be me though.

49ers(me) - 38
New Orleans(cpu) - 31

QB's
Brees - 35/57 (61%), 520 yards, 3TD's and 2INT's
Alex Smith - 16/25 (64%), 247 yards, 2TD and 0INT's

RB's
P Thomas - 14 for 57 yards (4.0 ypc), 1TD, 2Fumbles
Reggie Bush - 6 plays for 12 yards

Frank Gore - 23 for 111 yards (4.8 ypc), 1TD
Brian Westbrook - 3 for 6 yards

Defense

SF:
6 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2INT, 3FF, 2 TD's (pick 6 and fumble off punt return)

NO: 8 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1FF

The cpu missed a 33 yard field goal with Garrett Hartley, and I almost missed a 37 yard kick. That brings me back to the issues with kicking possibly. I am having a lot of injuries every game so i'm going to lower it. I can't remember what I have it at though. I'll post that after my next game. So the saints had 70 something plays. How many do NFL teams have on average?

Well, that is a game glitch, sliders won't be able to correct that. That's just something we have to deal with until EA makes a better football game.

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

Back again with some more stats. I changed the clock run off to 20 seconds with the 11 minute quarters (because i felt like it would work out better).

San Francisco 49ers franchise game 3

49ers - 24
Chiefs - 14

Scoring by quarter: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
49ers 0 10 7 7
Chiefs 3 3 8 0

This was a good game that was pretty tight most of the way. It was 17-14 until there was just a few mins left in the fourth when frank gore finally did something and punched in a 6 yard TD. I'm not sure why the CPU didn't run more because charles was tearing me apart (7 yard per carry).

Team Stats: 49ers Chiefs
Total Offense 309 347
Rushing Yards 53 83
Passing Yards 256 264
First Downs 8 11
3rd down % 5/13 (38%) 5/14 (35%)
Penalties 4 for 34 yards 3 for 23 yards

Quarterbacks
Alex Smith - 19/27 (70%) for 266 yards, 2TD, 0INT

Matt Cassel - 21/41 (51%) for 290 yards, 1TD, 2INT

RB's
Frank Gore - 25 for 53 yards (2.1ypc), 1TD, 0Fumble

Jamal Charles - 10 for 70 yards (7ypc), 0TD, 0Fumble
Thomas Jones - 2 for 10 yards (5ypc), 0TD, 0Fumble

Defense
San Francisco - 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2INT, 1FF
Chiefs - 9 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 0INT, 0FF

Through 3 games:

Alex Smith - 48/75 (64%), 8TD, 1INT
Frank Gore - 77 attempts for 358 yards (4.6 yards per carry), 3TD
Patrick Willis leads the team in tackles, tackles for loss, and FF
Justin Smith is tied for team lead in sacks with 3
Nate Clements leads the team in INT's with 2

So overall I'm pretty pleased with the sliders. Alex Smith's TD/INT ratio is pretty off, but that can turn around in one game. All the stat leaders are who I would expect, and beyond the leaders the stats are well spread out.

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

The more I play on these settings I am finding a couple issues. I'm mid-way through a game right now so no stats. Just posting some feedback and looking to see if anybody else is having similar findings.

I'm finding things a little easy. Not so easy its not fun (you know like the basic sliders the game has lol), but things like fumbles and interceptions.

I am intercepting significantly higher number of passes than the CPU and I'm using the 49ers and Alex Smith. So in my games I've played against Hasselbeck, Drew Brees, Matt Cassel, and Matt Ryan. So decent QB's where I feel they are throwing too many INT's. Also I am forcing fumbles every game.

Anybody else having these issues?

Re: Audible45: My Shot at Madden 11 Sliders

Franchise game 4 stats..

49ers - 24
Falcons - 31

Team Stats 49ers Falcons
Total Offense 298 482
Rushing 135 223
Passing 163 259
First Downs 9 22
Penalties 4-28 3-25

Player Stats
Alex Smith - 16/24 (66%), 169 Yards, 1TD, 0INT
Matt Ryan - 22/34 (64%), 266 Yards, 2TD, 1INT

Rushing
Frank Gore - 18 for 135 (7.5ypc), 1TD, 0 Fumble, long 77 yards

Michael Turner - 29 for 227 (7.8ypc), 2TD, 0 Fumble, long 80 yards (also had a 50 or 60 something yard run to put his stats in perspective)

Receiving
Josh Morgan - 4 for 77 yards
Frank Gore - 3 for 26 AKA nothing special from my guys
V Davis - 3 for 21
Crabtree - 2 for 18

Roddy White - 7 for 108, 2TD's
Michael Jenkins - 4 for 42
Tony Gonzalez - 2 for 38
H Douglas - 3 for 26
etc, etc

Defense
49ers - 4 Tackles for loss, 1 Sack, 1 INT, 1FF, 1TD (off the int)
Falcons - 8 tackles for loss, 1 Sack, 2FF

Patrick Willis - 8 tackles, 1 sack

Mike Peterson - 7 tackles, 2 tackle for loss, 1 sack

Overall a great game.. and my first loss of the season. I like playing with settings that make for good games and not winning every game. So being 3-1 with the 49ers is iffy, but I like the feel of the game. I actually had a big lead early in this game and after I lost Justin Smith, Manny Lawson, and somebody else Michael Turner just took over and crushed me. Matt Ryan also went down the field methodically in the last 3 minutes to deliver the final blow to beat me.

I changed the settings i posted about in my previous post and I'm going to see how that feels over the next few games. I raised the CPU's INT setting by a few and lowered their fumble setting. I will be lowering the Injury Setting after this game (currently on 50) because I have already lost Justin Smith for 8 more weeks and somebody else for 4 weeks, and have like 5 injuries a game where 3 are usually for the game.
