I'm calling it a rumor designed to keep some people from jumping on a 360 just for this game before PS3 hits.

I'm actually surprised more "PS3 will have better gameplay" rumors like this have not come out sooner.

The Producer of PS3 Madden did say it would have gang tackles...

For the people saying "cross console Madden has always looked similar with small tweaks." That's not the case anymore considering EA has split itself into 2 Development teams this time around, one designated for the 360, the other for the PS3 and there will be "unique features" to each systems version, as was confirmed at E3.

Somehow I really doubt if those "unique features" will go beyond anything as simple as PSP compatibility on the PS3 and achievement points on the 360. There's no way the games will be any more drastically different than they have been on the current generation. The PS3 version of 07 may get gang tackling, but if it does, both systems will have it for 08.

If the rumor is true, you have to ask, what do they mean by "gang tackling"? Probably, just the pre-scripted, two man tackle animation. No big deal.
