seriously u ppl make me sick with this grass u all want...u want 3d grass? how about correct physics then lets bring up grass...u guys r nuts. i never played a game of madden and thought " gee this game is great but if only the grass was 3d..." I admit the fifa 10 grass looks phenomenal but thats off a screen shot. in game grass is the last thing on my mind

I pLay madden sometimes just for the presentation elements. However a believe presentation and gameplay should compliment each other. If gameplay is all you want its like playing a shooter with no storyline and no story. It gets old after a while. Madden could play amazing but no presentation and it becomes dull and boring.

To me, Maddens grass is way to zoomed in for its viewed distance. I have a great 1080p TV, and when I watch a NFL game in HD, you cant even see grass detail at all from the broadcast view. Sure, theres some divots here and there, maybe some slight visuals in the grass at times, but for the most part its just green. In Maddens, the grass looks like its zoomed in. To much detail, and to big. It also looks HORRIBLE in the close cam, or any low angle/straight on views. Needs lots of work. Less detail would help make player models stand out, as they do on TV.

Because everyone who works on Madden does gameplay and no one works on cosmetic additions to the game like hand towels for example. Adding 3d grass would probably be very easy to add and would do a lot for presentation. As of now, Madden has some of the worst grass textures in games. Using the Fifa grass would really help the game out visually.

I beg to differ.

The grass takes up like 80% of the screen on every single play. It's important that the players are playing on a football field and not a vietnamese jungle.
