The maximum number is 2971. I just finished a roster and the editor would not allow me to import any players past that number.

In Madden 12 I go with 2540 because franchise files seem to lock up with anything higher than that.

Question for Madden 17 with Madden Editor. Do we still need to make a .MC02 file and copy original roster line 2 in Hex Editor to edited roster so it doesn't read "Corrupted"

No on the MC02. Yes on hex editing the 2nd line on 360.
