I run a CCM league with 32 active members. We will be trying out your sliders over the next couple days. Thanks for your work and I'll give you our feedback as well.

Played a half with the Raiders. With the Speed Threshold at 0 there was no way for my opponent to match the speed of Ford and McFadden. Ford had a monstrous day. In real life he is not a quality player. Just fast. I'm going to keep everything the same and raise the threshold to 25 (balanced in-between preset of 50 and your recommendation of 0) to see what happens.

I think when you get down to it, speed is great but not everything. CJ had what like 9 carries for 6 yards today against the patriots? Fastest guy in the NFL against a slow team. Innovation and Scheme play a part also. It seems with speed at 0 it would be too easy to rely on it alone and dominate.

My two cents...which don't amount to much....lol

Yes, there are other factors to take into consideration as well, its just in my experience and also, appears to be in quan's, that the 0 threshold gives you the most realistic results.

Obviously, gameplanning can take speed right out of the equation, but with the threshold set at 0, it brings the cerebral part of the gameplanning into focus.

Agree totally but of course I am always willing to see things from other's perspectives.

Were you playing in "play now"? I also plan on adjusting those sliders slightly as well.

With the speed threshold at 0 all you'll see in game play is drags, streaks and slants. While you are correct, there are certain plays to stop these, there are also things you can't if you just don't have the speed on D to compensate. With Zone coverage being garbage in madden '13 this year, forget about using Zone.

This is the first year in running our LG that we are trying out sliders and to be honest I have never liked them. It just opens up a whole can of worms. "I think you should raise this by 1 and lower than one by 3." Every team is built with different players and a different owner controlling them. How you adjust the slider will naturally give one guy a better advantage over another. If you build sliders for speed then a team like the Raiders will dominate, which would not happen in real life. It's looking like we are just gonna roll with All-Pro and let the creative minds of each owner determine the outcome like always.

I do appreciate all the work you have put into this. It benefits the Madden Community a ton.

Re: Just read and you'll understand...Real NFL...regarding stats..and gameplay..

I was playing another commish in our league for the first half. Played him again with the speed adjusted to 25. The speed thing was a little better but it seemed the pass rush was off. With it being at 86 and pass blocking so low, it was a sack party for both of us.

I think there is most def a place for sliders. I personally just don't have the time nor the desire to sit and tweek each one. Cause if you change one slider by 1 point, you affect all the other sliders and thus all the other teams. I think EA should pay dudes from the community to mess with sliders and create Slider Presets.

"Speed"
"Pass Rush"
"Running Games"
"Balanced"
"Pass happy"
etc...

Oh ok, well in order to keep from have a "sack party" against another user there needs to be adjustments such as using extra blockers for blitzes. I am glad you got back to me with which mode you were playing in. I have solved the whole "speed" issue with regards to your comments. Am a little tired which is why I am taking so long to finish up here but I do want them up so if still care for them I will be posting it. Thanks for the feedback.
