Madden signs new multi-year deal with EA

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2005--Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that John Madden, football icon and television analyst of ABC's Monday Night Football, has signed a multi-year agreement to continue to license his name and appear in and consult on the development of future iterations of the blockbuster game that bears his name. Madden NFL 06, the newest iteration of the EA SPORTS(TM) best-selling football franchise with the official videogame license of the NFL and its players, will feature the name, voice, likeness and expertise of the celebrated sports personality. EA SPORTS Madden NFL 06 is scheduled for release on August 9, 2005. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

OH GOD NO!!!!!! I dont mind him being on the cover, I dont even mind if they make a 3D Madden in the game and he give halftime info BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, ALLAH, BUDAH, MUHAMMED, and any other gods I forgot to mention PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP HIM OUT OF THE COMMENTARY BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I really don't mind at all, I'm sure we would have all welcomed somthing differen't for the furture, and wanted that in the worst way. The real thing that it boils down to is, Madden's be around for the 16 years, and like they said it's been the best selling sports title in the last 16 years, and when you think of it, what would Madden be without Madden....
