VIDEO EVIDENCE THAT PLAYER PROGRESSION IS BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My main gripe about progression is that their is there is pretty much no regression. Most players that are not rookies when you start franchise ( LDT, AD, Reggie Wayne) will retire with the the same ratings that they started out with. I also had a 98 rated rookie once. That was insane.

I don't think progression is broken. I do think it varies between different people though.

It's like saying my car is broken because it's not the same color as yours.

Different strokes, different folks. That's what's great about america.

One final note, this will be the last "Progression is Broken" thread I will visit, unless it's posted by someone I know personally.

How people don't see that progression sucks is beyond me.

I don't like the word broken because players DO progress, although it's very poor.

I mean let's say Jason Campbell has an outstanding season stats wise, wins MVP, leads the Redskins to a Super Bowl victory.

How can you tell me he wouldn't be an improved player?

He is one that NEVER progresses, Derek Anderson NEVER progresses.

It's very hard to find a player over the age of 27 that progresses.

I mean you just have to look at Madden over the years. A few years ago someone like Romo was in the 70s OVR then he had his first taste of NFL and went up into the 80s, now he is like what 27 or 28 and he is a 94 in Madden 09. All on the back of his outstanding performances and getting the Cowboys into the playoffs.

I think people are combining progression and regression more often that not...progression could be better, but it still works...regression on the other hand does not work at all from what i ahve seen
