Also, it seems really hard to throw a deep ball out in front of the WR, can't really lead him.

The passing game is just so bad in so many ways. From the trajectory of the ball to the DB's having no physical rules, ie swatting and turning 180 degree in the air, not having to plant your foot when cutting, etc.)
Actually you can have medium passes. Just don't press the button as hard

The biggest want I have for the future is just authentic trajectory. Once you have it (APF) it is hard to go without it.
Timing based passing would be nice. Sometimes it's nice to take advantage of the way the current system works but it works poorly with comebacks and outs. I think they should add a button (ex. L2) where if you hold it down while selecting a WR it throws to where he should be.

I honestly don't take a word the devs say seriously at this point. They know exactly what certain problems are, they promise new and exciting things every year, yet the end result is always the same game. Only instead of working on the real issues, they throw in some stupid thing like "Fight for the Fumble".

The biggest problem in this game is that nothing seems certain. The game is extremely skitzofrenic at best and down right broken at worst.

One play a DB treks 30 yard across the field after the ball is thrown to bat down a pass, the very next play your DB stands there and allows a WR to catch a pass.

The tackle animations in this game is really what kills the passing game as well. EA I have only seen about 3 WR get flipped when going up for a pass in my entire life, I have seen about 5 million in this game. The in air suctions tackles are the worst....DBs making a swipe at the ball then spinning in the air to tackle the WR, DB who are TRAILING WR can magically speed burst forward to hit the WR legs and flip them.

And just why the hell cant I dislodge the ball from a DB who has made a interception the same why DB do the WR when making a catch.

So broken. Ian, I will send you my copy of Madden if you send me my 60 bucks back.

As mush as I hate how the passing game is and other things I have to say that honestly this is the biggest change to a football game in a 1 year cycle I have ever seen.

I think Ian and his crew have done A LOT in 1 year and have faith that in Madden 11 even more will be fixed.

So what if they have done a lot in one year. It's their job! I think we all have gotten used to the fact that Madden never made big strides from year to year, so the one year they have made enough changes like they should have been doing all along, we think the game is heading in the right direction. And it's not it just simply isn't because of a few things.

I can't remember a Madden game that has had this many bugs and problems. It just seems like whatever they try to implement it just doesn't work right or bugs another part of the game. Hell, even patch #1 caused other bugs. Ian himself said that the foundation to this game just doesn't lend itself to making changes very well. It's like the butterfly effect, any little change can have huge drastic consequences. We are going to continue to see things bugged and broken because of the foundation of the game, not necessarily because of the devs. On the other hand, I feel like the devs are oblivious to the problems of the game now that it's their own game. Before they were the cheerleaders on this board about the problems and changes, but now since it's their own, they are blind to the problems.

You know, I just hope I'm wrong here.

I agree that there needs to be A LOT more done or they just need to stop with the contracts and let others join in on the fun.
