CBs, Gs, FBs, QBs, and HBs seem to be the worst to me. I don't resign any CBs because the average ones demand 10 mil a year from me. I'm currently paying my fullback over 6 mil (he's lucky he's the reincarnation of jesus christ, and I also have him playing at HB instead of FB). I almost never resign my guards because whatever it says their desired price is, I always have to go up 5-10 mil to actually sign them. I'm paying my backup QB 9 mil right now (granted hes a 87 overall), but my 3rd string 60 overall wanted 2 mil a year. And I was paying my backup HB (73 overall) like 3 mil a year. That's pretty high for a backup right?

I think they should leave it like it is.
I also think it is done by design for a challenge.
I had a player that wouldn't even take 112mill because my team STUNK!
He eventually signed after a Franchise Tag at the end of the next season during the playoffs
Challenge? It's unreailstic, and annoyingly so.

I want to at least see an EA rep in here to acknowledge that they read it.

The FA is terrible. How come the CPU can sign players to $460K and I can't even sign a 49 overall OLB to less than a $760K contract???

I havent actually played franchise for real yet, but I simmed a season to check out the offseason, and its ridiculous.

Willie Colon, RT for the Steelers is rated 82. Thats above average...maybe simply good. He wanted 10 mil a year. WTF? I shudder to think what it costs to resign a guy like Michael Roos or Ryan Clady.

And watch the computer sign that guy to a mere fraction of what he was asking from your team ... probably like $2 million per year or something like that.

I can't believe this has not been brought up before. I can understand the challenge and what not but this is just outrageously unrealistic. I understand that rookies ask for higher contracts each year and that the contracts go higher and higher as they go, but when the CPU can sign free agents to cheaper contracts yet you can't even offer the minimum contract to a player rated below 50 ... that's just wrong!

If they patched this, they better have patched the players I have to get to get a low-rated player. It's bogus.

What you have to remember is, they make a lot of money, but they spend a lot of money, too.
