They are just camp/pre-season fodder. Just cut them off your team.

I understand that, but there are still a decent amount of players missing from rosters. EA is opening the Franchise with 75 players, but trying to keep their latest roster updated after cuts.

Teams are down the 80 players now, there should be an opening day roster to reflect that. That way teams wont have room to sign anyone else.

One of those made up guys ended up being a 73 overall. Thats a little high there.

The only issue I will have is if we start a Franchise with a roster from the regular season and you see Pryor getting cut because some year 1 generated FA takes his place.

I don't mind year 2 and on, though it would have been better to have undrafted players signable instead of just giving you random guys.

I don't think so. I have a sneaking suspicion this is simply a downfall of using the NCAA draft classes.

Is there a difference, all the fictional players from year 1 are rookies. If you are referring to Madden generated draft classes, I dont use them.

Due to the lockout and the timing of the CBA getting done, the game was finished before real-life UDFA's could be signed. We shouldn't see this problem next year. For this year, why bother creating a bunch of new players? Just take the existing fictional ones and rename them to a real life UDFA that's in the ballpark in height and weight.

Good thing is that you can edit enough about the players to make them someone real, up until around years 7-8 when it wont matter anymore. Problem solved.

Then Madden team needs to do two things:

1) Let us edit and create our own draft classes from scratch.

2) Let us edit every single thing about a player. Like skin color, height, weight and age along with everything you can edit now. This game would be golden after that IMO.
