I understand your point but I can also understand the co-worker not giving it much credence until after those drastic results. He went from a decisive 16 point win, to two blowout losses by 20+, one which potentially could have been by more if he hadn't quit.

So given that swing, I can understand him feeling like the new playbook was advantageous to his opponent and wanting to now stick with default team playbooks.

That said, if he turned around and complained about being beat with the SF playbook while his opponent his using SF, then that's just being a sore loser.

Why shouldn't he able to use better plays? He's doing the right thing and making himself better. Maybe you should try to get better instead of crying.

The only problem that I have with what happened was that the OP used a 3-4 PB with a team that has 4-3 personnel. And this is really more of a critique of the game itself than using a different PB. I'm with KB and Delta that the default team PBs are not realistic anyway so I'm perfectly fine with using different teams PBs, but the game itself needs to do a better job of imposing limitations and penalties if you choose a PB that doesn't fit your personnel.

In other words, the dude should be more upset with the game's programming than with the OP trying to improve his team's performance.

I have no problem with it, but at the same time, I will always use a team's default playbook.

It's one of those things where there certainly should continue to be an option to change your playbook, but I'll just never take advantage of it.

Not sure about that? In my case the only starters I have on KO are my fullback, FS and nickel corner if you can call him a starter. Injuries to defensive starters have resulted in starting OLBs and SS on kick team??

#2 WR and #3 CB are return specialists.

#2 CB and #2 WR have always been on punt team, even before I used gameplan.

Starting WILL and JACK on punt team, not good but has not bit me yet.
Have seen all four starting LBs on punt return line for some reason? Does not happen every game but I have 8 LBs on roster so no reason for that if all 8 are healthy.
Starting SS on currently punt return team due to #2 FS injury, would like to put #2 SS instead.....

Was not aware of any issue in that regard but I do feel that we need to return to user control of who plays on special teams!!

Why are you cursing? Absolutely no reason for it

I will say this. Why I dont have a problem beating anyone when they change their playbooks. Prett much every single person I have played changes the playbook, and it has never come up as a disadvantage by anyone I know, but you.

You need to stop using the whole playbook scenario as a excuse.

Then why dont you pick the same playbook, and see if he still beats you. You actaully think by picking a playbook will make your team better. That doesnt make sense. I have actually heard the opposite where players feel their team play worse when you dont use thier playbook. This is the 1st time I have every herad anyone state that the team will play better with another playbook.

Picking a playbook that suites you makes you play better with your team, but no magic happens because a player picked a different playbook.

The funny thing is that you can do the samething, but I think you will refuse to do so , becuase if you lose again that will crush your pride in knowing he is just flat out better than you. Also after that what excuse can you use?

Really I have never herad of anyone complaining because a player is using another teams playbook till this thread.

Im frustrated because people arent getting my point. I know you can use other PBs buy Y do so. Y cant people just use the team's playbook??? Ive done it for years. When people use other team's PB's its like they are using other teams's schemes and stuff. The Bengals dont have the Sub package in their PB for a reason. So y should he be able to use it? Y cant he just man up and play straight up? When we did play straight up, i crushed him. and then he had to use the magical PB to do something different. Thats all im sayin. U can use other PB, but its kinda cheesin when u do so. IMO.

Yes, KR 1 plays are gone come to think of it.

??? When cpu comes out in onside formation I can pick onside recover, only time it ever comes up? On the other hand, never been able to recover my own onside kick, that sucks!

May be onside recover comes up because I use gameflow in order to get cpu to use custom playbooks. I don't always stick to my gameplan on offense, always call my own defense.
