I would rather have them stick to Pro Ball instead of making a poor college football game.

Visual Concepts would be able to focus On ESPN NFL Football. However another Developer (preferably Blue Shift...who does wsb) would work solely on ESPN NCAA Football.

Besides, You don't know if the game would be poor or not.

True, we don't know if ESPN's new College game would be good or not. But, IMO it would be very VERY difficult to compete against NCAA 2004. Not that it wouls have to be better than NCAA 2004, but it would have to be good enough to wrestle sales away from the people like me who really like NCAA 2004.

That is VERY true. But I also think that those who enjoy espnfl football would likely at LEAST give espn college game a try and since it apparently seems nfl2k's fanbase is growing considerably, an espn college football would have a pretty good shot at some decent sales for its debut. It wouldn't match up against NCAA on the market obviously but it Has to Come Out and develop a fanbase that can be built upon year after year.

If an espn college game isn't released next year it'll definitely happen at some point on the PS3.

Re: Back to Madden...

I see what you are saying Kanobi, and definitely, ESPN needs to get a consistant college football game out there to start building a fan base.

I tend to look at Madden/NCAA as ONE game. Although you can definitely play them separately, they are phenominal together. If Sega puts out at college game, then for me the competition won't be just the NFL games or the NCAA games against each other, it'll be ESPN NFL/ ESPN NCAA vs. Madden/EA NCAA. Do you see what I'm saying. I would compare both packages against each other.

Currenly, I do think that ESPN has a great game, and I really think that if EA Sports didn't have a college game out there, I would play ESPN exclusively. Next year, if Sega put out a college game, BOTH ESPN NFL and ESPN NCAA football TOGETHER would have to be better than the already amazing EA football games.

That's just my opinion. I know some people play ESPN NFL and EA NCAA, and that's cool, I just like the continuity. I do think it would be good if ESPN did release a college game, just to keep EA Sports on its toes. Competition is good for everybody (just look at the NFL titles this year).

Hope all this rambling made sense

Yes. I see exactly what you're saying. Thats why I've been saying ESPN needs a Collegiate Counterpart since MARCH. ALOT of people see Madden nd NCAA as one game. EA knows this! Thats why you see more being done to the offield apsects of Madden and NCAA than anything else because the off-field features and options are where the games get their "continiuity"...their longevity and replayability.

I've seen this as ESPN vs Madden/NCAA since back when it was first announced sega would not be making a college football game. IMO I feel NCAA boosts Madden's sales tremendously and vice versa because the two are symbiotic...you really cannot have one without the other....otherwise its like only getting HALF of the full experience.

I disagree here. I don't think ESPN NFL/NCAA together would HAVE TO BE better than the already "amazing"() EA games although its quite possible they could be. I think they would just have To Be quality Games that function well Together and offer a good amount of depth. If they (Espn nfl/ncaa football) BOTH have solid gameplay, quality depth and polish in terms of off-field features and options, and good game-to-game functionability then I think they'd do quite well. They obviously wouldn't UNseat Madden and NCAA in sales but they'd be successful on the Market.

Me to. Thats why i'd love it if sega okay'd an espn ncaa football game.

If they took ESPN Football and made a college game with everything exactly the same there's no way in hell NCAA would stand a chance against it. NCAA is not a GREAT game it's the ONLY game you could get so of course u gonna like it if thats the only college game out.

Re: Back to Madden...

NCAA this year is the best football game period, not because it is the only college option, its just a superior game this year.
