Sorry but I don't buy that. If that was the case, why do all the other sports games even EA's (FIFA, NHL) not only keep previous features but add more to them! It's more of a problem with the culture @ Tiburon more than anything else.

I've been playing Madden since the beginning and their excuses have all been debunked by other developers.

1996 - EA - we can't do polygon player models in football. NFL Gameday did it.
2001 - EA - online gaming won't work for football due to lag . NFL 2K1 did it.
2004- EA - gang tackling will cause major slowdown in gameplay. NFL 2K5 did it.

I think I can go on and on. But these days with the technology, memory excuses is just that, an excuse when you see all the other sports games keeping and adding content.

Maybe its the monitor. Madden 13 looks way better than previous next gen maddens. My ps3 is hooked to a 65" panasonic viera 1080p with monster hdmi cable and its not even close, way better than 12 and its horrid lighting and ps2 looking fields.

Agree 100%.

Also, inside games lighting looks pretty good with 13. The bad thing is Madden 13's grass isn't even near the right shades for the stadiums, and has PS1 textures. Madden 10's was pretty close usually.

With Madden 13 on 360, the image is very blurry. Very noticeable if you stick it in after playing Madden 12 & Madden 10.

On PS3 Madden 13 looks sharper and cleaner (still PS1 grass and camera is so far away there is no detail) but the jaggies are so bad I actually think I prefer the 360. Close call between the 2. Neither anything like Madden 10 or 12 on the 360.

I honestly feel like EA is messing with us at this point. It makes no sense to make your game look worse.

Well yeah I agree with you 100%, cause Madden 12 PS3 was a abomination. It's the very reason I went out last year and bought a slim(that and NBA 2k12).

Go look at Madden 12 on 360 and your mouth will drop. No jaggies at all, and crystal clear image. the grass doesn't look like water colored oil paint like the PS3 did(besides Lucas oil stadium, it was still terrible on 360 but way better then the PS3 version)

Trust me man, I'm the one who made the PS3 grass thread last year. I know all about the PS3 Madden 12 graphics.

This year it looks like EA didn't use AA on the 360 version, and instead just heavily softened the picture! The PS3 this year is possibly better, depending on if you prefer a more clean and detailed picture with lots of jaggies(PS3) or a very soft(blurry) picture with little jaggies(xbox 360).

To each it's own on the graphics part....my main concern is gameplay and the players tripping over each other I really hate that...This patch has to be a fixer if not im traded it in for 2k13 ball.....

I think it looks amazing, unless you are playing the cpu in ccm and they run the ball.

when is the real problem(ccm sliders, cpu run game) getting fixed? they can trip over themselves all they want, just get that right
