1st I'm not gonna take credit for finding this as stealyerface PM me about some editing he did & realized something intriguing.. So after taking what he said & doing my own research he was totally correct.

The INSIDE EDGE Feature for AI HITTING is BROKEN.. How do we now know this well if you pull up the AI IE when Hitting (d-pad:LEFT) you will see every single player has a WALK Tendency of D & an Overall Rating of A or B. Even the scrubbiest of scrubs has an overall rating of A or B & a WALK Tendency of D...

SYF, told me that he edited every batter's walk slider up by 20 & when a batter came to the plate & he pull-up their IE Card there WALK Tendency was still a D..

Another member, I want to say it was Thornie, raised everyone's Walk rating to 100 & they still were Aggressive @ the plate.

Here are pictures I just took that show 3 straight batters with basically the same WALK Tendency D







I will do my best to get this info to Ron over @ 2K, but if any OS Staff see this, could you please forward this post to 2K/VC.

Wow! No wonder the batters are overly aggressive. Not sure why the developers did not catch this. Possibly though it's not broken, maybe it's just what they intended to do for whatever reason, i.e. having a game go by quicker? Anyway thanks guys for finding this, too bad there is not a way to change these "D" walk ratings, hopefully 2K will address this.

LOL, that's fantastic. I wonder if there's any easy way to alleviate that, or if it's how 2k decided it to be. Be a real shame if that still isn't the reason for no walks.

What if we continue with the edit of the walk tendencies, and set the IE Influence to Zero.

Would that then base the tendencies off the edit versus the IE?

So putting IE at 0 doesn't help at all? If this issue was fixed it would make the game so much better

Reading your original post in the slider thread I was thinking the same thing. I'm moving the IEBZ slider to 0 to see if it helps.

I'm wondering if this will turn out to be a display issue only, where when you look at the IE report during a game it's simply displaying wrong information, but the batter is still performing to his "true" ratings.

On the aggressiveness thing, I'm going to play around with it more but I really think the way you pitch (which means mixing in a lot of balls) has a lot to do with their aggressiveness. I saw several called strikes in the two games I played last night including a called third strike.

Those strikeout rating seem pretty low as well. Especially for Abreu. Would that have anything to do with it?

Guys I just fired-up a game against the Nats & so far every player has a D for Walk & an overall of A or B. Something ain't right here I mean Adam Dunn has an A for Bunting

If "several" is less than 20 in 2 games I wouldn't waste your time.

I tried this with IE influence set to 0. No help. This p.o.s is broken and NOTHING can be done without a patch or major ratings overhaul.

I just started a game against the Yankees. I started Kazmir and threw 6 borderline pitches to the first 5 hitters, 25 hop ground ball through the infield that Iwamura refused to try to put his glove down and catch, a dropped line drive, and I have had it with this mess. I quit after that. This game is a disgrace and waste of money.

Like you said in a previous thread, "IE will either make or break this game". I think we have our answer. This is the worst installment of this series over the last three years by far. What a disappointment.

Is it possible to turn IE off? or does that only apply to scouting reports?
