The best thing to happen would be a 2K patch disabling or allowing us to completly disabling the Inside Edge.

I agree in the sense that I'd guess (and I wouldn't have a clue) that would be the easiest "fix". Just let us turn it all off.

Do we have anyone prepatch who could check this to see if it's the same behavior?

At least we could help 2k narrow down the cause.

I feel same way. I wanna see a 2 to 3 year cycle. With a roster update in the off years.

would be great, but to make this smart for developers, we'd have to:

a) pay 2-3 times as much

b) pay $60, but for the game AND for roster updates

AND convince a game developer lagging behind to accept lower sales for that the competitor for 1-2 years

OR

c) successfully stem the tide of the rapidly expanding sports gaming market, and boycott games like this, even when there is exclusivity.

I don't mean to be cynical, just realistic.

I actually think the way forward is the PES/FIFA model. FIFA was the only game in town forever, but PES made game after unlicensed game that kicked the crap out of FIFA. Fifa finally got smart, and now has a much better game because of it. Now FIFA is back on top in sales (higher than ever) and the flagship earner for EA, proving good gameplay = better sales.

Maybe another thing that I noticed, as well as the IE inside the game. If you take a look at IE from within the main menu, and you look at individual players, they have aggression ratings based on a count. Almost all of them are pretty high from what I've seen.

It goes from "less aggressive" to "more aggressive" but across the board they're tending towards more. Maybe that is something that actually could be messed with in the rosters.

Which is where 2k dropped the ball when they didn't make All-Pro Football a totally editable game.

We'll supposedly 2K/VC now knows of the issue as a MOD over @ 2K Boards CLOSED my thread to avoid all out anarchy & states they are working on getting this issue fixed.. I guess we'll see what happens & how soon this will get fixed...

Hey guys, the right folks are aware of this issue and it is acknowledged as an issue. They are working towards a resolution. When someone has some info it will be posted immediately. We want everyone to know that the guys at VC are working hard to fix these things and other things if possible to give you the best experience they can with 2k9 while also working toward 2k10.

Same, I can live with fielding gafs, I've seen them in the other game as well. No game is perfect, they can help this out a ton with this fix.

AWESOME work. I have to say I'm always amused when they drop the "while we continue to work on the next game" bit. It's been out 1 day. Come on. Part of your budget in making any major sports release has to be fixing the huge, gaping holes in your engine that forums find in less that 24 hours. It's not an upgrade, it's a fix for something that is broken.

That said, I'm glad they are on it. Tempted to buy this now, in anticipation of a patch (even though I know I shouldn't).

I second this. I love the game. This getting fixed will just make it that much better.

Ohh I saw a weird play last night. I hit a ball off my foot, it bounced down the 3rd base line and stayed in. Now I am not postive but shouldn't that be a foul if it hit me?
