2012 Colorado Rockies

Might as well get it started. Tulo, Cargo and Todd. I'm predicting an average season....3rd place in the west.

Re: 2012 Colorado Rockies

Opening series in Houston did not go well.

Defense was very suspect the 2nd game and Pacheco made a killer error in the 3rd game; short-hopping that throw to first when Carlos Lee was "running" down the line is something that simply can't happen in that situation.

Juan Nicasio deserved the win in that game. He looks GREAT.

Hopefully tomorrow's home opener will go well. It should be a beautiful day for baseball.

Re: 2012 Colorado Rockies

Terrible home opener ... shutout by BARRY ZITO, 7-0.

Dexter is struggling at the plate once again.

Scutaro is not a leadoff hitter.

Still don't have a third baseman. Hopefully they just call up Nolan Arenado and let him play; he's clearly better than Pacheco and Nelson.

Chacin still has no control of his pitches.

Good thing there's a day off tomorrow. Rockies need to regroup.

Doing it tonight so far...16-7. Old time Coor's Field baseball. Even with this lead I don't feel safe.

17-8 final. 22 hits and zero home runs. You don't see that too often.

What happened to Guthrie? I was at work and missed the first 4 innings.

He was good thru the first 3 and just blew up in the 4th. Gave up a couple homers, then walks. Just flat out lost it.

Re: 2012 Colorado Rockies

Rockies win a wild on, 8-7 on a 2-run walk-off HR by TODD HELTON.

Too bad the rain delay happened; Chacin was looking good after a tough first inning. Bullpen is pretty much toast now, so Pomeranz is going to need to have a good outing tomorrow.

Re: 2012 Colorado Rockies

Win or lose, the Rockies have been exciting recently, eh? Walkoffs, comebacks, almost-comebacks, etc...games have been fun to watch.

Starting pitching is gonna kill us however. Moyer is a great story, but thats about it. Chacin finally sent down, but for who/what. Not much down in the Springs that's gonna fix the rotation. It's really frustrating to have as good of a lineup as we do, and not have at least the slightest pitching to back it up.
