Raise the Jolly Roger! Buccos '12 Thread

Didn't see a team thread for this, so I figured I'd make one to talk some Buccos with all you.

So, how about Pedro? I'm liking the power he's providing at the moment and hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Having him anchor the middle of the lineup with Cutch and Walker would be great for the next few years.

12-16 at the moment. Here's hoping for 70 more wins...

Fun win for the Buccos tonight. It's always nice to see the team help out the Hammer after he blew the save. It's funny, because if the Buccos lost I was going to come in here and bitch about Barajas till kingdom come. That'll have to wait after what he did tonight

Re: Raise the Jolly Roger! Buccos '12 Thread

And raise the Jolly Roger again! That's two in a row for the Buccos, which means we take the series no matter what happens tomorrow. I'd still like to se a win, though

Some observations from tonight:
-I hope Bedard is OK. The announcers said it was just back spasms, so we should see him back soon.
-Cutch is on fire at the moment. He homered for the second game in a row, and went 4-4 tonight.
-Bullpen looked good tonight. Lincoln, Hughes, Cruz, Grilli, and Hammer all put in good innings tonight after Bedard left in the second. However, Grilli and Hanrahan defintely made their innings more interesting than they needed to be.

Finally, any other Buccos fans out there? I feel like I'm all alone haha

Not a Pirates fan, but I just traded for McCutchen in the OS Supporters Money League three days ago...

Thank you, CUTCH!

Hah, great move. Who would give up Cutch??

He's a very underrated player because of where he plays. However, I would say he's a top 5 (maybe even top 3) center fielder in the NL. Maybe I'm just being a homer, but the guy is a great ballplayer

Re: Raise the Jolly Roger! Buccos '12 Thread

Well, he got off to a slow start and the guy that had him was desperate for pitching and I was desperate for speed. I ended up sending Zack Greinke and Ian Desmond for Cutch and Dee Gordon. It actually improved both of our teams from a statistical standpoint.

Tough loss tonight. I was hoping 2 against Strasburg would be enough, but at least we took 2 out of 3. Here's hoping we can do the same against the Astros this weekend

Good win tonight. Morton looked good. Cutch is on fire. Cruz is very good out of the pen. Let's win tomorrow so we can win the series...
