So Saunders stepped on a sprinkler and tore the meniscus in his knee. Out until the ASG at best.

It begins.

I was just about to post that with the words "And so it begins"

You beat me to it.

How can you possible call yourself an athlete if a sprinkler takes you out?

The only thing that surprises me is that injury prone Brett Lawrie managed to avoid that sprinkler for all those years.

I love how AA says he is going to try to fill the hole internally or wait until near the end of the spring before picking something up. The guy lives in his own universe.

Yeah AA lives in a dream world. The Blue Jays system is woefully thin at OF and the one chip they have to trade (Navarro) puts the Jays in such a low leverage position that even if they try to get an OF they're likely to get scraps rather than someone any good.

I think they need to package Navarro and one of their young pitching prospects for a good, capable outfielder. It was already a crap shoot with Pompey in centre. We can't take another gamble with another outfield position.

If they're saying Saunders won't be back until the all-star break you really have to wonder when he's actually going to be back. He's going to need a long rehab stint in the minors since he's missed all of spring training.

Re: 2015 Blue Jays Banter

Holy **** Saunders is injury prone. At least we only gave up Happ, lol.

Sigh, why couldn't we have traded Sanchez for an outfielder? Why did we have to depend on Pompey? Guess now it's Pillar/Carrera/Pompey/Bautista out there.

Awesome!!!!!

Nice target now: Take on Papelbon's contract and try and get Dom Brown or Ben Revere back. Shame Amaro probably thinks Pap has actual value.

Re: 2015 Blue Jays Banter

AA is too stubborn to make a move like that for Papelbon. Apparently Pap was asked about the possibility of coming to Toronto by a reporter and was open to it.

BTW on a Jays media side story, it's nice to see Shi Davidi moving up in the world. He made his debut for MLB-N and touted as the Blue Jays reporter for that network. Hopefully that means more Jays related segments throughout the season.
