Even if he makes a full recovery it's probably a stretch to think he will be ready by opening day next year.

Injuries can happen any time but it really sucks to have it happen in these games.

I knew exactly what happened to Soroka when he tumbled off the mound. I knew it was his achilles. I was hoping for that 1-2 minutes afterwards that it was just a high ankle sprain but I just knew it was something worse than a high ankle sprain & he knew it too.

As if our SP wasn't bad enough 3-5 we now have lost our #1 overall SP. We are going to be digging deep in the minors for guys to fill in & hopefully salvage this 2020 season. Just getting to the playoffs is going to be a tall task. We are going to need our offense to carry us most of this shortened season.

I care moreso about next season and his career trajectory overall.

Frustrating that this gimmick year has screwed us like this.

Hopefully they don't trade anyone good for pitching. They will need to go to the revolving starters and pitching 2-3 innings. Not sure who else is out there, but it is going to be bad unless they can find something.
