I have 2 words that I feel will properly express my opinion on which BoSox team to do...

TRIPLE CROWN!!!

Guidry crushed the '84 Mets in last night's game....10-1. Nettles, Jackson and Chambliss all homered off of Darling before I pulled him in the 4th.

I think the Red Sox will be up next and I'm torn between doing another '70's team('75) or going with '67.

I guess it will be decided at edit time

What about 1946? While that year is "sandwiched" two Triple Crown performances by Ted Williams('42 and '47)....he did have a phenomenal year (.342 38 123)....
The only thing about both '46 and '67 is the benches are weak. Although...with the seasons the starters had on both those teams.....the benches were barely necessary.

But I'm leaning '67 right now for ya' Joey.

Starting in 5....

'46 wouldn't be a bad choice, either. '67 was an easy pick for me over '75, but '46 makes it a bit tougher. And they actually have a little bit of depth, albeit mostly in the outfield. Their pitching was pretty darn good too, although their 3.38 ERA was good for only 4th in the AL (out of 8 teams!).

Re: Turn Back The Clock: Great Teams

Thank you.

1967 Red Sox are completed. They just beat the Yankees 4-3.
Longborg with 7 strong IP.......Yastrzemski and Reggie Smith with HR's.....Wyatt with the save.

Fun game.(In Fenway)
