cnelly said "available budgets" so I believe that's how much those teams have to spend. That's not just for free agents, though, it's also for renewals, arbitration raises, own players coming to the end of their contracts, etc. At first glance it looks like Boston, Texas, Tampa and Cincinnati may be making a big splash this off-season.

On another note - will we be sticking with current coaches or can we try to hire new ones?

Yeah, there will be teams that need to sign new coaches. I have a list written somewhere I just need to find it. It came up in the popups when I advanced to the offseason.

I just put those names in red because they were people that were added late. Doesn't mean you are in trouble. You do not have to sit in time out!!

Those amounts are what each team has available to spend this offseason. It dows not count towards what contracts the team already has.

For example, the Red Sox 2011 payroll as of right now is 52,370,937. There 2011 budget is 192,674,992. So they have 140,304,055 available, which is the number that is on the list.

Come on, guys, surely there are 4 more people out there that would like to take a team!. I'd take a second but I'd rather just concentrate on one - and not bid against myself.

yeah I didn't want to take a second team either, but would really like to see this take off which I know will here, but the teams remaining aren't that bad either.
