Re: MLB on FOX: 2015 Opening Day Rosters

MLB on FOX re-rated process (I am using the OSFM V3 2014 format thanks to those guys)

All players re-rated were done by using the NEW hybrid rating sheet.

1. Full roster re-rate - includes all SCEA players and created players/prospects - based off ZiPs and Oliver
- including updated stats for players over and under achieving.

2. Full potential review and re-rate, again including SCEA players and created players.

3. Full review and alterations of created player faces.

4. Pitch edits using Seanjeezy’s pitch edits, many updates done also.

5. Ratings corrected to run smooth with new sim engine.

By re-rating the players you will get with these rosters

1. It will play as close to life as you can get in a video game - sim stats after too many tests come back within 1% of the current MLB numbers.

2. You may find that sliders will help with in game accuracy. I tend to at the very least put starter stamina at 7 and reliever stamina at 5.

Do not complain about this roster set! We don’t get paid to do this stuff and have spent well over 500 hours making this project happen.

thebaseballcube.com for all minor league players transactions is a site you want to look into for minors.

Re: MLB on FOX: 2015 Opening Day Rosters

I just wanted to give an update here.

All SCEA batters are re-rated.
We are currently re-rating the pitchers now. ORIOLES - INDIANS are done.

I am editing all created guy faces from my file last year. ORIOLES- ROYALS are done.

Once we get this done and sean jeezy does reappear with his 2015 pitch edits we will put those in, but if he doesnt we will use his pitch edits from last year.

Once the pitch edits and pitcher ratings get done every player batter & pitcher will be re-rated at this point we will begin importing all the missing players onto MLB 15 from the file on 14 we worked on that has all the minor league players we redone. All the SCEA players on MLB 15 will already have there edits in.

We will be including WTNY pitch edits. We have already imputed the batter ratings he did this year in his excel sheet hybrid ratings and added the pitchers info that was on the same sheet like there durabilty, stanima, h9,k9 etc now that he has came out with his own version of pitch edits we will be adding those in around June 1st.

We still have some work to do on this set as im fixing all the created player faces with my own numbers and have did every player in the AL already. I have a ratings guy and he has imputed all the batter ratings and is now working on the pitchers ratings and has did the AL as well. We will be working on the NL starting June 1st.

Not sure what you are implying here but I am not using anyone's rosters we have worked from SCEA roster update once i had them fix all the height and weight changes I provide the list every year to them.

Secondly we enter every single player ratings and pitch edits ourselves so we know that its accurate and no player over looked. I can guarantee anyone here that our rosters are not anyone's elses. I am not using OSFM, OSFM V2 or even willards this is completely all our work using a SCEA update. I know how long it takes to do pitch edits and doing them accurately I have did this since 2012 using seanjeezys.

The only thing I have used is the hybrid ratings from the excel charts and now WTNYS pitch edits.

and to be honest with you we are not exactly close enough to begin enter the pitch types in we have the stamina, h9,k9 etc still to do for the NL. Me and my ratings guy were going to enter the pitch types in for all the pitchers once we got the other stuff enter in probably once of the last steps we do. So before you start making your accusations be sure you know who I am and the dedication, work and knowledge of rosters and the game. I am not some little kid who goes and steal other great roster makers work. Anything I have used in the past I have given full credits to those guys. I have also shared many sources with willard and others to help OSFM and others as well make there rosters easier to do.

This roster sounds great, as I was planning on backdating Ridin's V2 of the OSFM, once 55 got WTNY's pitch edits in. Since this is going to be a Opening Day roster, Im seriously considering waiting for it, just so I don't have to do all that backdating, as that's a real pain to do,lol.

I do have a question since you are rerating all players and it sounds like your using the Hybrid roster ratings? I did use that roster and sim stat wise it cant be beat, but a couple things I never liked was how they did players speed, as slow guy like Yadia Molina would be rated way to high on speed, and the other issue I had was LH/RH splits in several cases I felt was too close together, for some guys who hit one pitcher handedness a lot better than they did the other. Other than those things, I felt that roster was amazing.

Its definitely giving me something to think about now, although not sure I want to wait that long before I start my chise, but Im definitely not looking forward to doing all the backdating and setting of lineups and rotations.

1 other question, are you going to take out legends and add in more real life players into the FA pool, like Ridin did for V2? IMO this was huge what he did, and I loved it, as the Legends took up FA pool space, so by doing what Ridin did, we now have a lot more players in FA like International prospects and even some of the highly rated player that will be in the 15 draft.

Whether I end up using these or not, they sound like they will be great rosters, and there is nothing wrong with having more to choose from. I envy all you guys that make or help make rosters, as I do not have near enough patience or the desire to make rosters, but as great as MLBTS is each yr, if it wasn't for the OSFM rosters each yr, I wouldn't get as much use out of this game, as having real MILB players really does make the game, along with pitch edits with as bad as SCEA does at them.
