Awesome. Thanks Armor. I have officially moved on from the Indians, and will now be following and playing as the Rays. 40 years as a Indians fan. It was a fun ride and lots of ups and down. I hope the Rays give me that same kind of excitement.

I went and checked it out and he really has a brilliant idea going there.

This is exactly like playing a table top baseball game such as Statis-Pro or Strat-O-Matic and I love the concept.

I am simply going to adopt it and post it on the OP giving him full credit. I think this can really spice up your franchise big time.




So everyone if you want to try this.....simply go for it. I think it is a great idea.

Use my slider set (or your set off my base as I know plenty of you make your own tweaks) and grab a deck of cards (pull out the jokers) shuffle them well before each game then draw three cards and adjust the respective sliders based on the the cards you draw.

When you see your game is going to be a rain game add +1 to both throwing errors and your wind slider (in addition to any other mods the cards dictate)

I am also employing Dowie's random number/dice roll for wind in the 5th inning as well. And I will update the OP with that as well. This dice roll would be in addition to nay wind mod made prior to the start of the game (rain game).

This card system looks great. It will add some variability an challenge to your games. Playing all 162....this is like adding a little hot cayenne pepper to a very large pot of beef stew.

I am pretty exited to start using this method/modifer card system.

Note that the slider values he has there were his base set....so ignore that and just use the card chart.

Also please note:

I play with injuries on 10 during played games so if you draw an injury +1 card please discard it and draw another card (unless you do not play with injuries on 10 like I do).
