Why do you ask?

I just asked to see if you have a massive plate discipline issue. While your BB/K ratio is below the MLB averate it's not that bad to think that's your most serious weakness.

Switching between zone and timing is to some extent kind of like where your want your frustration to lie in. With zone, you blame your own PCI placement skill (among others), and with Timing, you mostly blame your timing skill and the AI for not placing PCI on where you desire it to be.

It's hard to tell how bad your PCI placement skill is (probably not as bad as you think), but if it's just PCI placement that's your weakness, then increasing Contact slider would do it for you if you stay with Zone.

Another issues is, how is your HRs/XBHs coming? Things may be complicated with the fact that you use the Cubs (so many weak hitters), but if you have no issues slugging away, then the reason why you have low batting average may be because of your hitting approach.

If you are a dead pull hitter, you will hit quite a bit of XBHs even if you are below average contact hitter, but hitting for a high average takes a little more skill (i.e., going the other way often enough to boost the number of safe hits).

Man I'm having the exact opposite results as you guys. I play on Zone with pitch speed at 10 on HoF difficulty and my team average is .280. I'm 35 yeas old but my hand-eye coordination still seems on point because my offense seems overpowered. I'm averaging at least 10 hits per game and can't seem to get the hitting mechanic to give me enough of a challenge. I'm hesitant to go to Legend because of the shenanigans I'm sure to encounter, but my offense is really lighting it up.

Went from timing to zone. Wow it's so much easier to hit with zone. If you get a hanging CB and you put a good swing you actually get rewarded.

Funny hanging curves came up - I'm on Timing, Stanton got one, PCI located for one of his towering shots (i.e. it was perfectly placed) - and it was a 360-foot line drive right to the CF.

Baseball.

Went from Zone Plus Analog to Pure Analog because I can't lay off pitches out of the zone with that PCI control. I had 16 walks in 65 regular season games and have 4 through 10 games in the playoffs so far.

Also, I feel like it makes the 'Vision' stat worth something. I miss sometimes and hit popups on meat pitches, but I still hit .310 as a rookie with 14 HR in 65 games, so it's fine.
