Going Through My Worst Hitting Slump

Recently, I can't seem to get more than 3-5 hits a game. When I say recently, I mean a good 2-3 weeks of play (not every day, but close). Unreal. I feel like the timing on my swings has been good (although most of my "good" timed swings still wind up going foul or result in an out), but I'm just not getting the results and it is a little frustrating.

Any tips you guys have for breaking out of the cold snap?

if you are getting 3-5 hits a game, then you are a God. majority of real life big leaguers usually go maybe 1-4, 2-4. not many actually go 3-4 or even 4-4 or 4-5. those are like god like numbers.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about franchise...

Anyways, when I am in a slump I tend to take a lot more pitches and wait for something to drive, even if it means taking a couple of strikes to start an at-bat.

Step away from the game for one week.

Just take a break. Trust me that usually does the trick.

When you come back....be patient. work counts, take pitches. Get more selective again. Your pressing probably.

Re: Going Through My Worst Hitting Slump

For the most part of this season, I would switch back and forth between timing and analog. It seemed to help in the short term, but I would always go back to slumping.

I agree with taking a break. When I take a good, week long break, I always come back more selective and patient. If I wait too long though, I lose my touch.

Thanks, guys. Going to pull the plug on quick counts, too, as I'm sure that's not helping.

I pulled the plug on them in 15 after playing them exclusively in 14. Although they are fun and a time saver I just felt something missing.

I just love working the counts, seeing all my pitches. I drew 6 walks last night non quick counts. I also fell in love with zoom 3 as my hitting camera. Absolutely love how it really puts me in the box and see the ball so good as if I am standing in the box myself.

Basically feels like the old school camera from the very first World Series Baseball from Sega Genesis. That helped me so much this year in becoming an even better hitter.
