Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

I'm looking to deal Rusney Castillo. Can anyone think of a realistic trade partner and what the return might be? I mostly just want to move the contract but if I could back an outfielder that hits righties and a prospect back I'd love it.

How's everyone feeling of Rusney Castillo for James Shields? I'd do that even though I like Castillo.

The Shields thing has been floated a lot recently. Personally, I think he's a terrible fit for Fenway. Has struggled there throughout his career and gives up a lot of flyballs. And his contract is in the same category as Rusney's. No thanks.

I like Shields, but for Rusney I'd say no as well. If it were Shields for Panda I'd be all over it.

The problem with Rusney is he cant hit righties. So he's basically an 11 million dollar 4th outfielder. I (the Sox) can swallow that but the contract runs till 2020...I want out of it. Even it means selling for 70 cents on the dollar

That's basically trading Shields for the right to set like $30 million on fire, lol.

Rusney might work for, idk, Josh Hamilton, Ethier, in a deal for CarGo maybe, Elvis Andrus, Ryan Zimmerman, Omar Infante, not sure.

Hmmm...what else would I have to include for Cargo? You have me intrigued.
