Suggestions for Jose Reyes-"Situation"

So, this is my first Show experience. I've given myself a few weeks, worked up to allstar level, and now I'm looking to start a franchise. I'd like to play with the Mets and I'd like to have Reyes on the team.

A few questions:

Does The Show have suspensions?

Can I start a season with real-life injuries/suspensions/etc?

Are all contracts wrong money/duration?

How can I simulate the Reyes suspension? or should I just let it go?

1) The Show does not have suspensions

2) There is no option to start a franchise with real life injuries/suspensions

3) Yes all contracts are ficitional

4) The best way that I could think of to simulate the Reyes suspension is put in A ball. That way he'll gather no stats and won't play since Single A teams do not play in the Show.

Personally, I would just let it go and add him to my team from the start.

You can also add a manual injury to him and place him on the 60 day DL to open up the 40 man spot to match the length of his suspension. That is what I plan on doing when I begin my franchise for all suspended players.

Thank you both for replying so quickly.

Interesting, that contracts are fictional. I guess that's a legal thing. Players Association?

How do you add 'manual injuries'?

There are rosters out there that have edited contracts to match real life. I'm taking the OSFM midseason update from Ridin and doing edits to SCEA players and it will have accurate contracts.

You have to go under settings in franchise mode and put injuries on manual. Then go to the DL part of your franchise and select a player you want to injure and DL.

That's awesome that we can add injuries. That means that I can have wheeler sit out 'til August. I wish EA would catch up.

Does using real life numbers for contracts effect cpu GM decisions? How bad are contracts? After looking through them, the contracts are very low compared to RL. This looks more like an NHL team MLB.

There are numerous threads on the + and- of using both, but I prefer accuracy of contracts.

I honestly don't see Wheeler coming back this season
