Every time I turn the Show on and play as my Hometown Braves
I literally can’t play with the Braves (also my favorite team). Which is a shame because they have such a fun team right now. I get way too anxious and worked up. I should mention that I’m closing in on 30, a CPA and rarely get stressed about anything. Playing with the Rockies with whom I have no connection, completely different in terms of how I feel while playing.

One of the things I find enjoyable (though sometimes hectic) about controlling all 30 teams is I don't spend as much time fretting about why my Yankees are still a third place team once again but rather what I can do to get the Red Sox over the hump, or how can I manage the Cubs tight financial situation for a playoff run, so it becomes more analytical for me than emotional. BTW I'll be 55 on Saturday, a director at my company where I'm often called to put out fires (everything is urgent!) and stress out/blow my stack quite a bit....so being able to NOT worry about my favorite video baseball team is very relaxing.

BTW part 2: The Braves have been one of the best teams in my league the last 3 years but seem to not be able to get past the first round of the playoffs.

Re: Fun Post-Game Thoughts

My ace just went 7 innings getting 13 strikeouts... But he gave up three runs.

First thought in my brain: terrible outing!

Second thought in my brain: ... In Yankee stadium... On a windy day... (Remembers other stats) with those numbers...

Third thought: am I too hard on my pitchers?

Re: Fun Post-Game Thoughts

After a struggling player I am considering trading has an amazing outing... Well somebody just bought themselves a reprieve.

After the previously mentioned struggling player plays like crap the next game... *Morgan Freeman Voice* and that was the last straw little did John Doe know he'd never play for the team again.

and a 4th post game thought from yours truly, Cap'n Obvious: only one stat matters, did you get the W? also, I like going post game to check my starters GameScore. did you happen to notice what gamescore you had? still in search for my white whale, getting over 100. I'm content with their performance if I get better than 70 though.

Re: Fun Post-Game Thoughts

A player, particularly a pitcher has a bad outing, my first thought post game is "who can I trade them for?"

Re: Fun Post-Game Thoughts

Don't you just love when an injury forces a decision you were mulling over? /s

Me: Should I add Alfonso Baez to the playoff rotation?

Game: One of your starters of choice has fractured his arm. He will be unavailable for the playoffs.

Me: yes, I should add Alfonso Baez to the playoff rotation.
