I am a little disappointed at first glance. Hopefully there are alot of nuggets.

I will be honest I am not a fan of in season extension. As mentioned previously it rarely happens in mlb, extensions usually happen during arbitration and renewable time and the system already is in place for that.

I fear cpu teams will use it too much. Very few players get to free agency as it is the game.

Because it’s time they did. Nothing stops NBA 2k pushing My GM forward every year so to expect SDS to put a bit of effort in for one year, at this stage isn’t unreasonable. I get the whole DD makes them money line and how that must be their priority, but that mode doesn’t exactly change from one year to the next as it is and I predict there’ll come a point where the annual churn and constant investment of cash will dry up.

That would be amazing if so. I've been waiting for that forever.

It needs more than just a new voice, though. They'd have to overhaul the whole idea of it, from the way it's presented to the way it comes out of the stadium speakers, etc.

Basically, I hope when we ask for new commentary the team doesn't just think "switch out [insert name here]." It would kind of have to be completely scrapped to get new commentary, especially of the dynamic variety.

Welp, a lot of wind has been taken out of my sails in regards to Franchise Mode, but I'm hoping they have a lot of smaller improvements to go along with Contract Extensions (which I don't really mind either way). Still looking forward to the game and I'll try to catch as many of the streams as I can.

That's very wishful thinking. And 2K has competition from Live, at least for now.
